Meet Mitch.

Mitch joined the Concord Asset Management (“CAM”) team to design, implement, and lead the firm’s turnkey investment management program.  He brings over 20 years of investment leadership experience including his prior position as the head of Edelman Financial Services’ $24 billion investment division.  During this tenure, Mitch provided oversight of asset allocation, security selection, and investment manager due diligence.  He is most proud of his thought leadership on disruptive innovation investing, and implementing this theme into client portfolios.

In 2000, Mitch co-founded Wertz York Capital Management where he served as Chief Investment Officer.  For 12 years he managed client accounts through SMAs, an in-house managed SEC-registered bond mutual fund, and pooled investment trusts.
Mitch is passionate about the investment industry and understands the challenges financial planners face as the industry landscape is constantly evolving. He is excited that CAM’s platform provides financial advisors with the means to offer their clients truly differentiated investment services.

He has an M.A. in Economics from the University of South Florida and a B.B.A. in Finance from Eastern Kentucky University.  Mitch’s professional credentials include the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and FINRA licenses 7 and 66.
Mitch resides in Richmond, Virginia with his wife Jamie.  They have four children – Grace, Oliver, Grant, and Ben.  In his spare time, Mitch enjoys the outdoors including backpacking, camping, fishing, and scuba diving.
